KATHIE FONG YONEDA

With over 30+ years of industry experience, Kathie Fong Yoneda has worked for such prestigious studios as Paramount, Columbia, MGM, Universal, 20th Century Fox, and Disney, specializing in story analysis and development of live action and animated projects.  Her career includes executive positions with Walt Disney Studios, Touchstone, Island Pictures and Walt Disney TV Animation.  Through her career, she has evaluated more than 20,000 submissions in the areas of film, television, novels, plays and web series.Kathie has presented over 250 workshops and seminars throughout the US, Canada, Europe (Germany, Austria, France, Ireland, Portugal, Denmark, England, Italy, Spain) Australia and Southeast Asia (Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand) and has written a popular column on screenwriting and the entertainment industry. She's been published in Writers Aide, Screen Talk, Script Writer, Student Filmmaker, Script and The Portable Writers Conference and has been interviewed or written articles for dozens of magazines, newspapers, e-zines, radio segments, and television shows. She was a guest of The Soviet Peace Committee for a ground-breaking 10-day media symposium in Moscow and was also selected as the Keynote Speaker for Asian-Pacific Heritage Month at The Smithsonian Institute. Kathie was also honored by the BronzeLens Film Festival as a Super Star for her behind-the-scenes work in media arts and is a recipient of the Mayor's medal from the City of Marseille for her efforts in Cultural & Media Arts.

Kathie and noted script consultant/author Dr. Linda Seger developed a highly-successful 6-day seminar for the training of development executives in Ireland. In addition to seminars with Linda, Kathie also team-teaches with Pamela Wallace (writer-producer, co-writer of Oscar-winning WITNESS), Carole Kirschner (author of Hollywood Game Plan, WGA Showrunner Program director, career consultant) and Pamela Jaye Smith (author of Inner Drives, Power of the Dark Side,  and Symbols, Images & Codes, writer-producer, creator of MYTHWORKS).

Kathie is an independent script consultant whose clientele includes several award-winning writers. She is the author of The Script Selling Game: A Hollywood Insider's Look At Getting Your Script Sold and Produced which is used as part of screenwriting curricula in dozens of universities worldwide. She also teaches a popular online class, Pitch & Presentation for Screenwriters University and co-exec produced a popular cable series Beyond The Break for the Teen Nick channel.  Kathie is on the Boards of IMAGO (French production company) and the LAWEBFEST (world's first web series festival).
